Stay with Me in 1940 (Postmodern Jukebox)

This is the first ‘era’ video I’ve seen from the Postmodern Jukebox and let me tell you, as soon as I saw it, I fell in love with the band.

This is of course a cover of Sam Smith Stay with Me hit, and I have to confess I’m hard press to decide which version I like the most.

Cristina Gatti is one of my favourite singes of the Postmodern Jukebox. I like her style.

They are rather fine, aren’t they? I don’t know the original but this will do nicely.

I like the original very much too. They have both a nice sound, though this one is more ‘vintage’.

Outstanding. She’s got some pipes on her…

She’s good, isn’t she? The Postmodern Jukebox always presents good singers, but Cristina Gatti is one of my favourite 🙂

Great singer! I think I prefer it to the original version.

This is one of those cases I like both versions. But there are covers by the Postmodern Jukebox that I like a lot more than the original.

I’m going to share a few in August, so let’s see what you’ll think of those 😉

My SIL introduced me to PMJ. Cristina is terrific. There many covers I haven’t cared for, but it’s usually ones I was so wildly in love with the original that I couldn’t bear to hear it another way. I’ve also heard them do covers that are a definite improvement over the original.

Same feeling here. Though in general, I do like their covers 🙂
