Happy New Year – may 2019 allow you to keep finding all that is fair, Sarah. (Your choice of Professor Tolkien’s words feels so appropriate.)

Happy New Year! This is a great tribute to Tolkien who was greatly affected by WW1. I find both wars very interesting and WW1 was one of the most brutal. One can see, in his works, how much the war is part of his books. He was a brilliant man and the language he created leaves me in awe

Happy New Year, Birgit!
True. The more I learn about WWI, the more I see I surfacing in Tolkien’s work. It’s an enriching experience.

That series is full of amazing quotes. Yet this quote in particular feels so appropriate right now. Thanks for sharing it, Sarah, and Happy New Year. 🙂
