No fear (James Thurber)

James Grover Thurber (December 8, 1894 – November 2, 1961) was an American cartoonist, author, journalist, playwright, and celebrated wit. Thurber was best known for his cartoons and short stories, published mainly in The New Yorker magazine and collected in his numerous books. One of the most popular humorists of his time, Thurber celebrated the comic frustrations and eccentricities of ordinary people. In collaboration with his college friend, Elliott Nugent, he wrote the Broadway comedy, The Male Animal, later adapted into a film, which starred Henry Fonda and Olivia de Havilland.Let us not look back in anger, nor forward in fear, but around in awareness

Good quote, yet, whenever I see this I am always reminded of the Oasis track, “Don’t look back in anger”…

You picked such a perfect quote for November and NaNoWriMo. It’s all about living in the moment when you’re working toward any big goal. Once you start thinking about what you should or shouldn’t have done in the past, or second guessing you next move, you’re doomed to failure.
